I was so excited to finally meet Vice President Biden! We talked about meeting him, but was not sure it would really happen. We had 10 min. to get ready and my family just woke up from sleeping. I got ready way before anyone was awake. As soon a I was ready, I helped Alex get up and going (Alex is on crutches). We ran out of the house and were on our way! We hit a lot of very bad traffic, but we were a little ahead of Vice President Biden. Until he passed us in his limo. Then we were in trouble,we needed to hurry.So my grandma ran up the highway yelling”I have Vice President Biden’s secretary on the phone.” The very nice officer let us threw after he talked to the secretary. My grandfather had built most of the runways at the CVG airport.So my mother and grandmother knew where to go.We drove as fast as we could.Finally we saw two men standing at the gate yelling”go. hurry, faster.” We saw about 50 men standing every where on the building,on the ground,and lots of emergency vehicles! Vice President Biden came over and hugged us and told us how honored he was to meet us! Vice President Biden took us all over to meet everyone and let us sit in his limo and tour Air Force 2! I will never forget that amazing experience. Alex was so excited to meet him. We took some great pictures of Alex and Vice President Biden. I will always remember meeting him with my brother and little sister.

I decided to read emails while killing time to go to a birthday party. I shouldn’t have done that. What a beautiful story. I, like Alice trying to introduce Joe Biden to her family, cried, just reading the story. Wow. I met Joe Biden at the Newport Syndicate about the same time Alice did I guess, and was thrilled to have my picture taken with him. He was very courteous then and sounds like he’s gotten even better since becoming the Vice President. Love that man. Now I have to go fix my makeup before the party, darn.
