Stephanie Miner completed her historic run for Syracuse mayor Tuesday, taking a clear win in a three-person race.

Miner, a two-term common councilor who made her name taking tough and occasionally solitary stands, pulled 50.1 percent of the vote.

Miner, a labor lawyer and Democrat, received 11,237 votes — 2,454 more than Republican Steve Kimatian, a former media executive, who had received 8,783 votes (39.2 percent). Conservative Party candidate Ronald “Otis” Jennings, a former city parks commissioner, had 2,313 votes (10.3 percent).
