ElectWomen Magazine Announces
New Contributors and Site Features
Covington, KY–Since its launch on January 23, 2009, ElectWomen.com has received over 5,000 visitors to the women’s political blog/website dedicated to electing women to public office. ElectWomen.com announces new contributors from a wide array of political backgrounds. The contributors write articles and offer advice to women thinking about or running for political office.
One new contributor is former Maryland State Senator, Sharon Grosfeld. Senator Grosfeld has recently worked as the Executive Director of the Women’s Leadership Forum for the Democratic National Committee. “I am a strong believer in the importance of mentoring and it is that aspect of your site that is so unique and valuable. I was so glad to see it when I found your web page since there is such a void on the web for this type of leadership. I’m glad that you have filled in the gap with your site and I am grateful to be a part of it,” said Grosfeld.
Additional contributors include Williamson County, Illinois Commissioner, Tracey Glenn, Cincinnati City Councilwoman Laketa Cole and political and finance consultant, Angie Cain. The new contributors join the impressive group of women that includes statewide officers, a former governor and state legislative candidates.
Feature articles written by the contributors are posted daily on the site. Other articles that appear are written by media journalists, writers, bloggers and researchers. ElectWomen.com is now requesting visitors to the site sign up for e-mail alerts and information. A daily tracking poll allows visitors to weigh in on important women’s issues and campaign topics.
ElectWomen.com has been featured on sites such as The White House Project, Hillary’s Village and The Progressive Majority as well as various newspapers.
